See what
Hellene has to say:
After a year of
suffering with an arm injury that left me unable
to pick up a water bottle or crumple a piece of
paper, I was referred to ABSOLUTE HEALTH CENTER.
I had spent a year trying different remedies, from
acupuncture to occupational therapy, and more.
After all that time with no relief, I was in
despair thinking I would have to live with
continual burning arm pain all my life. I
was still searching for alternative therapies,
when I learned about Absolute Health Center.
The concept of
inner fibrous scar tissue and myodynamic
remodeling made sense to me, and so despite how
painful the therapy might be (!), I decided to try
a three week round of this type of deep tissue
massage. Within two weeks I started to feel
relief, and after 2 three-week rounds of therapy,
I have the use of my arm back!
At the time, my
insurance covered Dr's Polvi and Levesque. I
have since suffered a different type of injury on
my other arm/shoulder. Despite the fact that
I am not covered by insurance anymore, I am coming
back to them again. I have spent the last
four months in pain, trying other therapies on
this arm-shoulder problem that were covered by
insurance, and have not gotten relief. So
now, I'm back at ABSOLUTE HEALTH CENTER.
These doctors are the only ones who can find and
feel my injuries before I say "ow"! That
sensitivity is an important factor in my choice of
them as my doctors.
Thank you Dr's
Levesque and Polvi -- Thanks to this therapy I can
play with my three year old, pick him up and push
him on the swing again! I think this "Myodynamic
Remodeling" therapy is brilliant when appropriate!
Despite the fact that I'm not covered by insurance
anymore, I came back -- this therapy is worth
every penny! |

Barbara has to say:
Everyone really
cares! Dr. Polvi goes the extra mile to
explain every step and why he does the
treatment on a patient. Very patient and
supportive of his patients. Also, he doesn't
adjust a person to just adjust. He is very
knowledgeable about his work. I will always
keep him in mind to refer friends, family and
strangers!

Juan has to say:
Overall great
results!!! Explanation of condition and
treatment are really beneficial. If I ever
hear of someone in a car accident or simply neck
and shoulder pain, I will be quick to refer them
to Absolute Health Centers. Thank you Dr. Polvi and Dr. Levesque.

See what
Will has to say:
I did not want to miss
the opportunity to let you and your future
patients know about my experience with your
services. First, I was probably the LAST
person in the world who I thought would ever walk
in the doors of a Chiropractic Care Center.
I have a Masters Degree in Education, and was very
skeptical. That's probably the result of too
much education! At age 51, traditional
medicine was the only practice I believed in.
My thoughts were surrounded in strict science,
research, and pharmaceuticals.
I was in a car
accident on November 30, 2003. I was
rear-ended at a speed of 45 mph, was unconscious,
and knocked through an intersection close to Lake
Avenue. My car was totaled. After the
police arrived, I started to feel more and more
queasy, and the pain was building in my back.
The policeman told me to take a warm bath, that I
would feel better in a few days. I told him
was hurt, but he did not call for medical help.
I informed him I was going to go to the ER.
The seat in my car was completely broken from the
impact. I arrived at the hospital and since
it was the end of the Thanksgiving weekend, the
wait was about 6 hours.
By the time I was seen
by the staff, I was in excruciating pain, I
was given 3 shots of morphine. They took a
MRI and CAT scan, and sent me home with a muscle
relaxant and Oxycontin and told me to take off
work for 3 days. As a teacher, it was
impossible to miss work, and I used the pain meds
to get through the day. I saw my family
doctor. He was most concerned about my
condition and we worked to get physical therapy,
and additional lab work. He tried some
therapies in his office; the most effective was
5-6 shots of Lidocaine along with a steroid
directly into my neck and shoulder. This was
the only treatment that allowed me to function
normally, It lasted 4-5 days. I
remained on Vicoden and Avinza for the pain.
I had numbness in my arm, and I was in extreme
pain for most days. The medication took the
edge off an allowed me to work, but the pain was a
constant ritual.
My family doctor
exhausted his treatments and decided to refer me
to a Pain Specialist. I did not know what to
expect, all I wanted to do was to go back to a
normal life. I was really afraid that
something serious was wrong. I met the Pain
Specialist and he told me about his work and how
he partnered with Dr. Polvi on Myodynamic
Remodeling. I told him I didn't believe it
would work, but that I would remain open minded
and give it a try. He scheduled me for 6
initial "Trigger Point Injection" therapies that
when combined with Myodynamic Remodeling under the
care of Dr. Levesque should give me relief.
The Pain Specialist gave me about a 50% outlook
for recovery. I was very sensitive to touch,
had throbbing, stabbing pain in my neck and
shoulders. The Pain Specialist and Dr.
Levesque were first concerned that there might be
a neck injury and scheduled me for an MRI before
starting aggressive therapy. Since the MRI
showed only minor damage, the Pain Specialist
started the TPI and had me see Dr. Levesque for
the myofacial, deep tissue massage. I will
not lie and say there was no pain involved in the
treatment. It was painful. However,
the results were incredible!
For the first time in
over 6 months, I started to feel better. I
had an increase in the range of motion in my neck,
and I started to feel optimistic that something
was happening. The deep tissue and TOP was
augmented with Myodynamic Remodeling. I do
not know what it means, but what has been
happening is that I'm regaining strength, and the
injuries from the car accident are starting to
subside. The exercises and combination
therapies that take place between treatments have
started to restore me back to a more capable
functioning person. I can see that pain
medications will soon no longer be needed, and I
am confident that this incident will be behind me
in the near future.
If you have been
living with pain as a result of some type of
trauma, don't give up! This works! I
have an optimistic outlook that I will soon be
pain-free. I have improved at least 75% from
my first visit. If you are skeptical about
if this works, let me just say it does. It
is not some strange technique. It is well
studied and you cannot find a better team than
with my Pain Specialist, Dr. Levesque and Dr.
Polvi. They have developed a system that
works, that will give you your life back.
They, along with a caring and extremely
professional staff, will have you on the road to
recovery. If you are still skeptical, talk
to the doctors and ask other patients.
Finally, I have never
made any type of endorsement or written a letter
of compliments in the past. I wanted to
share with others that there are many therapies
but nothing, in my opinion as effective as My Pain
Specialist's TPI therapies coupled with Dr.
Polvi's Myodyanimic Remodeling. Hopefully,
you will take the first step. I will
follow-up with this letter in 6 months to let you
know the finally outcome of my treatments. I
just finished number 4. |
